Mark is a GLG Expert and the Chairman at MarkoPolo Pty Ltd, bringing over 35 years of experience across Private Equity and corporate strategy to the panel. He is the founder of Wolseley Private Equity, where he successfully raised over $400 million from global institutional investors and Australian Superannuation Funds, spearheading 13 primary platform investments and 100 strategic bolt-on acquisitions. Prior to establishing Wolseley in 1999, Mark spent 12 years at Bain & Company, where he was a Senior Partner and one of the founding members who established the firm's highly successful Australian practice. A dedicated advocate for the growth of the sector, he regularly advised the Australian Investment Council (AIC) and served as the core presenter for their foundational PE 101 program until 2025. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honors in Chemical Engineering from Leeds University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
